Transformation Friday!


Meka we are so proud of your progress and determination!

  1. My name is Meka and I started CrossFit middle of last year.

  2. I was hesitant about CrossFit. Fears of inadequacy of meeting my own or others expectations. I decided to push my fear aside and say to myself. " I am doing this for me."

  3. My first impression was meeting Chad. He took the time and listened to my concerns. He has a great outlook and it is contagious.

  4. Here I am 48. The weakest link in the chain and around 7 months later I am still going at it. I am down almost 25 pounds of fat and put on muscle.

  5. Lexi also had a great influence. I learned to recognize and choose healthy foods. She went shopping with me and I actually started looking at labels. I have an aversion to eating vegetables so she showed me how to work with a diet that suited me.

  6. The hardest part is while I would love to be there everyday. I work 60+ hours a week. My schedule varies and my sleeping is off. I think that is a major setback. I plan to get that in order soon.

  7. The positives are many. While I may be lift half if not a third of what others may be doing. I am there. I go at my pace so that I can continue long term without injuries. I don't plan on overnight success but I always look a year ahead. Small changes made today lead to big results tomorrow. I have also learned to listen to my body. I have seen progress in my movements. It has also carried over to my life outside of CrossFit. No more looking for someone to open my water bottles!

  8. I am very grateful for the support of the coaches, Chad, Esther, Lexi, and Adam. They shine and I continue to look forward to our community.
